It’s been a long kitten season here, the OITNB orange tabbies have been with us for a long time!
Usually, at 8 weeks old, we get our kittens listed and in the next week or so they’ve found homes. Kitten season, that time of year when the Kitten population surges, has turned this on its head and the girls are barreling down on 14 weeks!
But yesterday Piper and Nikki found a furever home with a man just moved to Los Angeles from the east coast. His first course of action was to get kittens! This was not a spontaneous thing though. He was in fact the first person to reach out to us several weeks ago before the move.
He came over yesterday, met the kittens, and left with Piper and Nikki. We’re down to 2 Alex and Lorna and a potential adopter is coming to meet them today.
So what happens next? Potentially to help give our daughter attention as she transitions to a new school, we will be taking a break fro two weeks… but then Amanda just came to me with pictures of a new litter that needs to be saved from a shelter – so what do I know 😉
