Nova & Orion are Back! #spacekittys

With the craziness of the world as it is, things happen and sadly the woman who adopted Nova & Orion is no longer able to keep them.

Nova is estimated to be 3 years old and Orion is still very much a kitten at almost 5 months old.

As is the way with Kitten Rescue we will take on finding them a new home, for the time being, they’re still able to remain where they are, so you won’t be seeing them return to the kitten cam. (honestly, in our current situation, we wouldn’t be able to bring them back into our home at this time.)

So once again they are available for adoption in the Los Angeles area.

NOVA AND ORION

Orion is an exceptionally adorable black and white kitten with a sweet pink nose and the cutest little pink toe-beans. Orion is the leader of his litter. The first to do, and try, everything. He is full of energy and loves to play. He is rambunctious, curious and talkative. Orion is very outgoing and friendly. He loves to come say “Hi” when you enter the room. He always wants to know what you’re up to and likes to be the center of attention. When playtime is over he will enjoy a nice nap and a good snuggle with you or his mama kitty, Nova. One of his favorite games is “catch the feather-wand” and if you play this for a good 15 minutes before bedtime he will reward you by snuggling up and sleeping quietly next to you all night long.

Nova is a wonderful young and playful mama kitty. She is sweet, independent and low maintenance. She adores being a mom and takes her parenting responsibilities very seriously. When they were tiny, she always made sure to say a quick “Hello” when a human came in the room but would run right back to her spot in the nest to be with her babies. She didn’t have much time for socializing as her babies were her top priority. Now that they are growing up, she has eased up a little and will come around for a little cuddle and a lot of chin scratches. Nova is very tidy and well behaved. And she loves to play. A few times a day she and her babies will play a fun game of tag or hide and seek. Her favorite toys are the feather-wand, ball tower and crinkle ball.

Nova has been raising her 4 playful kittens, in a foster home, since they were rescued from a local shelter when the babies were just a few days old. We think Nova would be lonely as an only cat, she took great care of her babies and would love to be adopted with her son, Orion. Nova and Orion make the perfect yin and yang pair. He is the class clown – high energy, talkative, curious and outgoing. She is easy going, quite, polite, and responsible. He loves to be the center of attention and she’s more of a wallflower.
