Race Against Time: Saving Our Video Archives

Twitch and Facebook are tightening their video storage policies, and we’re scrambling to save years of precious content.

Both Twitch and Facebook have cracked down on their video storage policies, which will delete 7 years of livestream archives. We’re moving over those archives as fast as possible. However, while Twitch makes this an easy process, Facebook only gives us the ability to download past broadcasts… and with our internet we can’t upload them nearly as fast as download. So we’ve added some hard drives to our Amazon Wishlist to help store them as we try to move everything over.

• Twitch: Highlights are easier to download, but we need storage space—fast.
• Facebook: Past broadcasts are a nightmare to upload with our slow internet.

How You Can Help: We’ve added hard drives to our Amazon Wishlist to store these memories. Every drive gets us closer to saving our furry legacy:

For right now, as these are raw archives often with hours and hours of not much happening we’re uploading the majority of those archives as unlisted, until we can cut out the best parts and upload those separately as clips.

Fundraiser Updates: Churus, Cat Ears, and BeanBoozle Chaos

Our Tiltify campaign is inching closer to the halfway mark at $215 of $500!

Thank you Julie! We added some fun rewards to our Kitten Season Tiltify Fundraiser, so now you can support our foster kittens AND make Sam do some dumb stuff, or reward our cats with treats. More rewards to come but here’s what we have currently – and look for group stretch goals on the campaign as well

Foster Kitten Update: Sophie & Simon’s Big Move

Our tiny fosters, Sophie (dilute tortie) and Simon (black-and-white mischief-maker), are thriving at 4 weeks old! Onver the weekend we moved them from the carrier to a large crate/enclosure where they have a bunch of room to run around. They got their first litter box, so far Sophie has certainly figured it out. Not positive about Simon, but at the same time we’re not seeing big messes outside the litter box.

• Upgraded Digs: They’ve moved to a larger enclosure—more space for wobbly adventures!

If you missed last weeks Cat Chat, Amanda explained that once the kittens ween from milk to wet food (within the next 2 weeks or so), they’ll be ready to head off to another foster. St. Catricks Day Fixes & Leaderboard

All day today March 17th, at least once an hour the Rainbow cat will show up. I’ve made this a part of routine and in the future years every St Catrick’s day (or March 17th) the same things will happen. So it’s a big day for hunting Shamrocks but beware the Leopardchaun.

Here’s the latest leaderboard as of today: Cgeffre might have a strong lead, but remember you only need to be in the top 10 to get 1/10th of the rewards (aka the Pot of Purrs)!
